CHARTERS

Surf Fishing Excursions Q&A

Florida Holy Waters Surf Fishing Excursions

What to expect: On the day of your trip your guide will text you a pin location to meet him on the beach at the agreed-on time and location. When you arrive, your guide will already be there, set up and ready to fish. You will get a safety briefing, have fishing licenses verified, sign a waiver, and pay your trip fee if you have not already done so. Our guide will cast out the rods and bait the hooks for you. If you want it, our guide will give you a play by play of the gear he’s using and what he’s doing so you can learn to surf fish on your own. If you just want to fish, that’s fun too! If you decide to keep legal fish, that is totally fine. There is nothing wrong with safely releasing your fish as well. All fish will be kept in the guide’s cooler on the beach and transferred to your cooler in the parking lot to meet FWC regulations.

What to bring: sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses (polarized glasses are helpful), a cooler with ice for transporting your catch home, whatever drinks and snacks you would like to bring along with something small to keep them in, and most importantly fishing licenses for everyone that will be fishing. Your guide will supply all the fishing gear and bait for your charter, so there is no need to bring any of that with you.

What we provide: An experienced guide, all the necessary fishing equipment, all required bait, and the opportunity for a fun fishing experience in a family friendly format!

What’s the cost? The cost for a 3-hour beach / surf fishing excursion is $350 for up to 4 people. To secure your trip date on our calendar, payment is requested in advance of the trip. If you have had a great time tipping is always appreciated!

Where will we fish?  Our normal fishing area is the North Side of Jacksonville, Florida all the way to Fernandina Beach, Florida. We have multiple beaches in that area that may be our beach of choice for the day depending on customer requests, weather, fishing reports and a host of other variables. You and your guide will discuss that prior to your trip and settle on the best fit. Your guide will send you a location pin by text the morning of your trip so that you can easily find the exact spot that they are set up on the beach. Trips outside this area may incur extra fees to cover our guide’s travel time.

How to book a trip: Contact Florida Holy Waters via email at info@floridaholywaters.com or call us at 904.652.6748. Coordinate your trip details with your guide and pay the trip fee to lock in the date and time for your trip.

Other things to know:

We will follow all applicable laws according to FWC requirements. This includes size and bag limits as well as all the other rules of the location in which we are enjoying our trip.

Fishing is not a catch only specific species type of activity. We will do our best to target that specific fish you may be looking for, however the sea brings us what it brings us. Weather, water temperature, seasons, migration patterns, lunar cycle, tide, and location are just some of the factors that go into the bite and what we will catch.

Our guide will provide all the fishing gear for your trip. Please don’t bring your own fishing gear unless it is cleared with the guide in advance. This allows us to make the most of your time fishing on the beach. If you want to book a trip to help you set your own gear up for surf fishing, we can do that as well, but it is a different type of trip with different expectations.

The person booking the charter will be responsible for any damage to, or loss of equipment due to negligence or not following the directions of the guide. If any charter trip becomes dangerous due to weather, lightning, dangerous behavior, or otherwise, we reserve the right to cancel or discontinue our trip.
